I recently bought a 98 XLT 4x4

I had a bunch of lights out on the instrument panel so I bought an LED kit to replace the bulbs
I changed all the bulbs and the ABS light was burnt out so now it is on constantly

knowing the front wheel bearings were noisy I went ahead and ordered replacement hubs with ABS stupidly without checking if I had front ABS which I now know I don't!! lol

my question is can I still use these hubs and just remove the sensors from them?

Look under truck near brake hose. If you see a wire that has the same path as brake hose. Pickup as front abs. And you can us the abs hub with a non abs pickup leave the sensor in. Cut wire.

 

Yes, this is true. Just cut the wire off. Your light is coming from the rear. Most likely the sensor in the pumpkin. I did a write up on replacing it here:

I realize it's probably just bad sensor in the dif so I'll swap that out I was just too dumb to check if I had front ABS before I ordered parts

I figured the hubs were probably the same but just wanted to check before I install!!
