Default What's it Worth?

I am considering selling my truck to join the diesel community but I am not real sure what I should ask for it. I am only the 2nd owner of this truck.

The truck is a 1997 Ford F-150 with the 4.6 liter v-8. The truck has 4 wheel drive, power driver seat, power mirrors, power windows, and is bone stock except for Flowmaster exhaust. The truck has been my baby for the last 5 years and has been maintained to perfection. It currently has 99,000 miles on it. Within the last 6 months I have changed the transmission fluid, spark plugs, plug wires, rear end fluid, and of course the general maintenance.

The only thing that is wrong with it that I can think of is that the a/c does not work and the passenger side plastic on the door has a crack by the speaker.

I am sure I am missing some things but let me know what you guys think.

I'd say you could get 6-7k for it cuz of the low miles and such good condition. But kbb books it for 5,500 in excellent condition.

Posted on the general forum also, but you are looking at around 5K with the broken a/c.

Its looks like an example of an exceptionally maintained 97' 4x4, great job keeping it up over the years. Putting myself in the buyer's shoes... what's exactly wrong with the a/c? Is it a bad compressor? leak? or a problem with the hvac dash control itself? (not joking, there was a member on another Ford truck site who couldn't use his a/c for two years because he thought it was a bad compressor and what had really happened was the **** broke and he didn't know it at the time)

I wouldn't sweat over the door panel crack... there's used ones in perfect condition on ebay all the time.

I'm also thinking in the 5k range simply because the body is in such immaculate condition, fix the a/c and 6k wouldn't be impossible either.

Thanks for the compliments! The a/c is a department that I am not very familiar with. It is leaking somewhere but I am not sure where, I know the compressor is good and it blows air out, its just not cold air.
