Default What's it worth...

The 2000 F150 Harley Davidson has an Edmunds appraisal online for $5,200. I just found out there are a couple other people interested in it. The interior is extremely clean, leather very good... The original paint was fading a bit ( Florida)... so the husband had a very nice black repaint on the entire truck. Receipts galore. 97,000.

Are there better appraisals out there? Apparently, I may have to pay more than the value price, but honestly, the truck is in great shape. ( Except for little plastic part issues, but can fixed just for fun.)

What would you think a fair price would be? I'll pay more, but not TOO much!!

Time out.. I am hoping to buy the truck from a friend's wife. (She was the only one who drove it)

Engine compartment.... all original. no leaks.... I only need to dust it off to clean it.

The truck is at my house for the moment.

BUT DOES ANYONE IN THIS FORUM has experience on the value of a '00 Harley Davidson tuwk???

I am looking for your forum guys experience to determine a fair price for it.

THEN luck might happen if the price isn't too much!!

It all comes down to what your willing to pay and what the sellers willing to take. I would NEVER pay book price and it is really just an extended cab 2 wd truck. Has a "list price" of 5200. if its me if I want it I offer 4200 if they bite great if they dont take a hike.

if it were the SC Harley maybe it has more value. Non SC its just an appearance package.

What is an "SC" Harley? Uh..... super charged?

This one does have the HD leather stamped seats -n- stuff.....

Not sure if I want the maintenance issues of a charged engine.

But how often do you find a "used" truck that you know the owners & full history of a well maintained vehicle.
I know there's value in that, ( personally) but if they want too much above that, heck....

A carfax report will give you all that information on ANY vehicle.. It is all up to you! how bad do you want it and all that? Like I said the earlier Harleys were almost the same thing as a lightning. Super Charged. So there value was more like the lightning. Later the Harley package was just a high end appearance and interior package like a Larait. If the seller wants more then the value of it which aint more then your research shows then walk and like I said to me the actual value is less then book.

No Super Charger ? Not worth it IMO. Did the guy sell it separately ? Yea I thought the HD's and Lightnings were all SC'ed....maybe not! Not that one anyway.
