Whats under my Kick Panel?
I pulled the plastic kick panel out to look at the Airbag Control Module, but I am not sure if I am looking at an Airbag Control Module based on what I have seen online for them...
It's a 2004 Ford F150 Heritage XLT Super cab. http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...psa2b8cac7.jpg Haynes repair manual is very vague about Airbag work since they suggest you take it to a professional. |
bump. Can someone atleast confirm where I need to look for the Airbag Module Computer. I found a deal on Ebay but need to confirm what computer module I need.

If I'm correct that is the fuel **** off inertia switch and air bags for the rear end of truck

The switch on top is the Fuel inertia switch that shuts the fuel system off if you are in a crash. Up and to the left but out of the picture is the PCM (or computer that runs everything to us Kansas country boys). It sits next to the firewall of your truck and is plugged in on the other side of the firewall. Above the fuel inertia switch (also not in the picture) you should find your aibag diagnostic module. It is about 1 1/2 inches thick, 5 inches wide, and 6 inches long. It is plugged in at the bottom of the module. When you reach up there you can feel the PCM and the Air Bag Module and the PCM is bigger than the Air Bag.
