Default Whats it take...

Was wondering what it took to put a 351w in a 99 4x4 with a 4r70w, don't be bell housings interchange, what kind of electronics am I looking at? Or am I better off just building up the 5.4 that's in it? Plan on doing some body mods from fiber were, and a 5-6in lift from rough country, has about 143000 on it, so was thinking motor swap/rebuild after awhile, any ideas?

Stick with the 5.4 plus an older engine in a newer vehicle wont pass inspection to my understanding. 5.4 is more powerful engine also

Plus if I wanted to do a Windsor it wouldn't be stock, something like a 408, don't want to change trans because well the one in its like 4 months old, and maybe has 2k miles on it as of right now

Ah well the 5.4 would be my suggestion it'd be easier to do, plus it has more potential power wise even than the 351. Just my suggestion

5.4 all the way. The 351s are good engines but if you want a 351 go to a older style truck.
