yep, from 96-97 they got the third door, and from 98-99 they got 4 doors (I belive, I just know my 98 has 3 doors)

Yup, you guys are right. No 4th door. I dont think the '96s had even a 3rd door though. I dont think that came out until the redesign in '97.
My brother had a '97 F-150 Supercab and at that time it was kind of a big deal that it had the 3rd door, then the next year GM came out with 4 doors on the extended cabs and that was a real, "dee-dee-dee" moment for Ford.

only thing different is front bumper and grille and the interior has some minor changes and the lug wasnt changed till 2000
