Haha, I hope I can afford a new one by 200 or 250. LOL

its a 4.6L V8 if that makes any difference.

I think Ill have the bed done, and blended... this way i dont risk the guy screwing up the good paint. haha

I would go for the rear blend paint job and save the money.
You can always have the front painted to match later when you get some extra cash later. As long as it is painted within a few years, the new front later would match the new rear part just fine.
Besides, wait and see what it looks like, you might not even be able to tell the rear was painted except right up close. If you have the entire truck painted you will never know if you could have saved money by just doing the bed part.

id like it to match for the next 70k+ haha.

As a point of reference, I paid $7500 for it in october or last year. Does that have any impact on anyone's decision? with this repair, and no paint, I have another $900 or so into it, without this paintjob.

ive got opinions on both one and 2, no resounding options. LOL
I don't think the price you paid matters as much as how long you plan to drive it. just my 2

Well with that color I'd go with your post #6, yea you could use the money somewhere down the line, but once your married, bought the house, thinking about college for the kids you won't fix the truck, you'll be thinking its time for the wife to get a new car, paint the house ect, ect, ect. I've been married 30 yrs got the house and in summer of 11 I'll be senting one off to the big C. Make your truck look good you'll feel better.

I would have bed painted and blended. I wouldn't touch the front paint. Save the coin for later on.
