Default what will fit?

Ok guys again sorry for posting a lot lately. Could I get away with 315/75/16 16x10 -38 offset rims on a 2.5 rough country leveling kit? Or should I just crank tbars to 24.25 and add a 2" block in the back? Also would I have to regear or could I get away with it?

Why not avoid wearing out your front end and wasting money on a leveling kit by running a slightly smaller tire? Say a 285 or a 295 now you don't have to crank and you dont need to regear. Power loss would barely be noticeable. 35 inch tires on a 10 inch wide rim -38 offset will rub like crazy. Not a good idea

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the first number is the height.. 315 is 35.6, 305 is 34.4, 295 is almost 34. My decimals points might be a few off, but I think I'm pretty close. You'll want to look at a high middle number for tire width, or look for something not metric such as a simple 33x12.5x?

Also, it all depends on your wheels. If you have a 10" wheel and you throw a 12.5" tire under it, it'll look odd, and vice versa.

I have a 12" wheel and a 12.5" tire and that's pushing it but I think it looks nice and isn't stretched.

Also, I have 37" tires on stock gearing.. HUUUUUUGE power loss, but being a manual helps out once you get her going..

The first number is width. The second is sidewall. Thats why low profile tires are xxx/20 30 40 etc. Going wider on a narrow rim increases diameter (height).

I thought the first number was the diameter in mm, second number was the percentage of the diameter but as the width and the third was the wheel size, but I have been wrong before. I guess you learn sketching everyday.
