Default What should i do? Please HELP!!

I have a 99 F150, 5.4 with 4 wheel drive. When i turn to the right i get a clunk or a pop in what seems to be the rear. Also when i go over bumps it seems a little clunky. I have talked to a guy at Auto Value and have looked online. I don't know what to do. I don't want to waste money. Here are a few options i came across to do:

Replace rear shocks

Pull the driveshaft and grease the splines

Replace u-joints

Rear end issues?

I have checked the u bolts that are in the rear and they are tight. I grabbed the rear shocks and i can turn them side to side a little. The shocks have been on the truck since 06 and 75,000 miles. I don't know if the u-joints have ever been changed. How do you tell if the u-joints are bad? It does not clunk when i put it into drive or reverse. I grab the driveshaft and can not feel any movement. Please help me out. I don't want to waste money on replacing stuff if i don't need to...

best way to check u-joints is to have the truck in neutral and check for play. Willing to bet its either u-joints or slip yoke. Simple fix for slip yoke is to put leaf spring clamps ~6" in front of the axle.

Check your spring leaf in the rear where it attaches to the frame... Mine blew out as made similar sounds. Worth checking it out
