What oil do most of you use? Mine holds 6qts right? Its an 02 with the 5.4, Havent changed the oil yet and was wondering what kind of oil to run.

 

I use 10w30 quaker state and change every 5000 kms

 

I run 10w30 Mobil 1 and my truck holds 7 quarts.

 

I have used Castrol for about 10-15 years now and have really good service out of it. I use 5W30 High mileage in my 97 with 226,652 miles on it.

 

I use 5w20 Mobil 1. It maybe 6.25 a quart but i like it. I use 5w20 because the truck only has 46,000 miles. And i change it every 4-5 thousand.

 

I use motorcraft 5w-20 like the owners manual say. I use synthetic

 

I use Mobil1 0W/20 and change it out every 10K.

 

Castrol full Synthetic 5w20 or 10w30, depending on season. Every 4500 miles or 6 months (retired the truck from a daily driver, to save for trips and real "truck" work).

 

I use synth 0w40 in my 01 4.6L. I do a lot of mileage so the synth allows me more between changes.

 

Mobil 1 5w30, K&N Oil Filter, change at 5000 miles. I'm sure I could go alot farther between changes because it still looks pretty clean but just for good measure 5000 is far enough. 6 quarts is what the manual calls for, I put in 6.25.
