Default What is this hose?

Its right above my rear axle and seems to be coming out of one of the cross members for the bed. Any ideas? Is it a bed drain line?

Forgive the rust, this is Rochester NY, and its a 2001.

Yeah, it will attach to the axle tube somewhere between the shock on the diff housing. You should see a nipple on the top of the axle tube where that tube should go. When you find it be sure the nipple isnt clogged with crud before you put the tube back on.

I saw that and thought the hose went there. It looked like a grease fitting though. I'll trim the hose back and that should do the trick. Maybe I'll add a small hose clamp or zip tie too.

I'd replace the hose... It's long enough from the factory for suspension articulation... Droop the suspension over a speed bump and you could rip the shortened hose right back off... And moisture is not a good thing for a differential... Also make sure the fitting and hose are free and clear of clogs or debris...

How does the other end of the hose come out? It looks like it goes through the bed cross member.
