135 mph in a 1962 Cadillac Eldorado, 390 V8 with the "6 pack two barrels" dual range Hydramatic transmission. this rare model had, sure wish I had this one, it was my dad's car. One week after I did this foolishness, which over a 10 mile run used almost a half a tank of gas, it was up on a lift getting an oil change and the mechanic noticed a cracked lower "A" frame on in the front suspension. To this day my dad does not know why I suddenly got a white as a sheet. Thus ended my quest to find out how fast a vehical would go without a stem to stern inspection by me. The last time I did this was a Mustang irritated me at a light, and this time I had a 1967 Cadillac. I ate this butt-munch alive, I was topping 90 mph when a voice in my head shouted, What in the F**K are you doing you fool! the kid in Mustang was pissed he didn't think my old ghetto glider could beat him Now I agree with the lowriders.
All my friends know the low rider
The low rider is a little higher
The low rider drives a little slower
Low rider, is a real goer
Hey
Low rider knows every street, yeah
Low rider, is the one to meet, yeah
Low rider don't use no gas now
The low rider don't drive too fast
Take a little trip, take a little trip
Take a little trip and see
Take a little trip, take a little trip
Take a little trip with me

Question isn't how fast HAS my truck gone, it's how fast COULD it go. I'm guessing prob 85? Lol Tops?
Top speed I've ever DONE though was about 165 - 175 ( needle buried at 150 but I kept acclerating ) in a 99 Mustang GT running a Kenne Bell blower sniffing 14 psi. Was coming back from Virginina, on some god forsaken highway with absolutely nobody around, drove down it, came back to make sure no side roads nobody could pop out of, and opened it up as far as she would go. Scared the crap outta me and can't wait to do it again with the next hot rod, once I find a slightly secure spot to do it at. :-)

145mph in a '76 Trans Am on the highway. 135mph on a 1982 Yamaha 650cc Seca Turbo. I was racing a Ninja and won. Unfortuately I couldn't go any faster because my front fork bearings were on their way out and I experienced a high speed wabble. Not fun and a whole lot scary but I rode it out and pulled over to shake the soft stuff in my shorts.
