Get under the dash and trace the wire back to see where it leads too. Cant really make it any simpler than that.

Just start pulling things apart and following where the wire goes. Most of these trucks just snap together so they're easy to pull apart

Alright, any idea where that plug should be plugged into though. Only reason I noticed it was because it's just hanging out right there.

There no real way of knowing until you know what its leads too. Could be an aftermarket alarm, for a switch, the possibility are endless.
