what does the head temperature sensor do and where is it located?

Thank you, I was gonna do that today but when I started my truck today I went to pull away I heard something pop I looked under the truck it was a broken bolt I noticed it broke off of the crankshaft pulley now I gotta wait till Monday for ford to open for a new bolt then drill the old one out, any idea why that would break?

It's only brass, should come easy. Can you get a small right angle drill in there? Actually a left hander would heat it up spin it right out , w/the busted easy-out still in there. If you purchase a drill bit , make sure it's M42 and that EO shrapnel won't slow it down.
