I like them on all the time. I think you can wire it so the lights dont come on until you turn on the headlights? Yeah I didnt like how it fit over the stock a pillar so I just drilled a hole in the new one so I could put one bolt through the top in the stock hole. It holds good and I think it works way better, plus if I want to put the stock one back on there arent holes in it. I got the pillar and gauges from glow shift for $166 with the wiring and sensors. Good deal if you ask me! Here are some night shots

I wanted to get a water temp because I just put in efans on a switch so wanted to monitor that, so figured I would just go with three. Water temp, trans temp, and oil pressure. And a buddy of mine has a glowshift boost gauge he is giving me for later mods. But I just got them right off of the glowshift website. Right here http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/97-02...e-package.aspx

Yes they have been done before. The only problem is you intrument cluster actually has a green tinting from the factory. The older F150's such as my 97 actually have a blue tinting. I do not know the exact process to remove the green tint from the cluster. All the other lamps are actually have to be soldered.
