What did you do to your 10th gen today?

I just got some WIX transmission filters for my Toyota today. The damn things said Made in Taiwan. Now I gotta worry about WIX too?
The Motorcraft filters I have on the way better say US or Canada on them.

The point, however, is Store "O" pads were "Hencho en Mexico," and store "AA" pads are marked "Made in USA."
Same SKU, P/N, etc. What the heck??? Pads were purchased within days of each other. I'd rather have had the USA-made ones, simply on principle, and assume (hope?) they're identical.

Just another case of manufacturing moving out of the US for cost reasons.
The good thing is brake pad manufacturing is automated, and the standards for Wagner pads are still the same, I would use the made in Mexico with no worries (but agree, would rather have the made in US ones).
Only problem I have with the Thermo Quiet on mine is they dust really bad.

I used green stuff pads on my old truck with good results. Dust was a non issue as well.

Are those the EBC pads, JP?

Those are the Ebc pads. Really good bite. I managed to warp a rotor but that was towing 6k and dodging an idiot that turned in front of me but the brakes did their job.

Now an XLT in Colorado
I have the TC pads on the Escape, and haven't noticed excessive dust. In fact, I *think* I used them on the '99, too. I don' t know that I've ever had a "dust-free" pad, though, so maybe I'm just used to it. (I have, however, had some bad ones that turned wheels black in a week.)
Oh, and $21.50 saved!

Finishing Up the Brakes
Started out with new brake lines and hoses, added calipers, pads, and spray shields. Still need to put a little heat on one of the rear bleeder screws (drums) to free it up.
Always lots of fun with a 20+ year old truck.

For the cost of the wheel cylinder I would just replace it....
Too much heat could damage the rubber components inside.
