Thumbs up Mirrors and lights

Threw some towing mirrors on the old ford. So far I'm a fan of them. Love the bottom mirror a lot more than expected. Slight vibration but it's pretty typical of all towing mirrors it seems like. Also put added my old blacked out headlights just for a new look.

New Tires!

went from 265/70/17's to 285/70/17's! I think I got almost 1" of lift added with the change.
Toyo All Terrain Open Country
My tire guy was running an $80 cash back special, plus $100 for my old tires, so entire set cost me less than $650 installed after taxes

I really love em! However, I really wanted white letter, but maybe I'll find a white sharpie or somethin.

(new side mirrors and brush guard in the "after" pic were mentioned elsewhere)

I think you mean 265 to 285,right? If so, you gained about an inch in total tire diameter, and about 1/2" of "lift." (Of course you have to consider the increased tread on the new tires, too.)

And I'd stick with the black letters. 1) I think it looks fine as-is, 2) I've never seen painted/penned white letters look really good (or at least *stay* looking good.)

Right!
285's not 185s! I had to edit that

That's a pretty good deal. I love my toyo ats. I've got more than 40k on mine and I'll be very surprised if I don't make it to 65k. They do great in the dirt too especially for an at.

I think I'm gonna get a set of those toyos or KO2s next. I have a feeling I'm gonna have some traction issues with my MTs after this swap

haha you may need to go to a heavier tire or a softer compound. An at will definitely help a lot though.

Trans temp gauge Anyone know how much difference I should expect between putting the sensor in the trans test port than putting it in the line going to the cooler?

Let me know if you find out because I really like your setup.
