Mine are far enough out a shop wont even align my truck. Well the lower ball joints, ucas, pitman arm, and the idler arm. Lol

I was told to change the idler arm and tie rods before taking my truck mudding again. How hard is it?

As long as you have a pickle fork ($14 advanced auto) and a 3 lb hammer it will take about 30 min on the idler the first time. I havent done my tie rods In a while but they arent that hard. Just pay attention to how many threads are showing on each side of the sleeve.

The tie rods are simple. Just measure the thread sticking out of the sleeve on both the inner and outer and replicate that with the new tie rods. It doesn't have to be perfect, just get it close and the alignment shop can get it dead on. I don't know about your lift, but with my lift I had to cut about half an inch off one of the tie rods (I don't remember if it was the inner or outer). just a heads up
