I'm still wondering if this LKQ rebuild could handle some mild boost. A Vortech would probably be kinder than the L blower (to the motor *and* the transmission), but that torque sure would be nice.

Not really a consideration until it's no longer my DD, though.
Did they go with forged internals on it? If not then 8lbs is about the highest I would go confertably with stock NA compression

I'm sure the parts are OEM equivalent, and not upgraded. Even 6-8 pounds would give a nice wake-up.

New starter solenoid and fuel filter (yesterday). BTW if you don't remember when you last changed your fuel filter, DO IT! It gave me the seat of pants feeling equal to taking the slack out of the accelerator pedal.

Well over been away for awhile. Work and life has been busy. My 97 decided it was time to retire on its own accord. Grenaded the oil pump and took out the chains an guides, which resulted in a locked up motor. So it has been replaced. Here is the new replacement.

Default Shock Absorber Preps

Showering my shock absorber mounting bolts with penetrating oil every day, letting them soak. Getting ready for the big replacement.

Lucky lol wish mine would grenade so I can get a new truck lol that or some tractor trailer loses its trailer and decimates the truck (when I'm not in it of course).... I'm just tired of fighting it... although I do love being without a truck payment so that's nice

Nice looking rig. Even though it's much more truck than I need, I am still envious.
