That fits, since it didn't look bright and shiny. Thought maybe it was retrofit from another truck.
I'm still wondering if this LKQ rebuild could handle some mild boost. A Vortech would probably be kinder than the L blower (to the motor *and* the transmission), but that torque sure would be nice.
Not really a consideration until it's no longer my DD, though.

New starter solenoid and fuel filter (yesterday). BTW if you don't remember when you last changed your fuel filter, DO IT! It gave me the seat of pants feeling equal to taking the slack out of the accelerator pedal.

Well over been away for awhile. Work and life has been busy. My 97 decided it was time to retire on its own accord. Grenaded the oil pump and took out the chains an guides, which resulted in a locked up motor. So it has been replaced. Here is the new replacement.

Well over been away for awhile. Work and life has been busy. My 97 decided it was time to retire on its own accord. Grenaded the oil pump and took out the chains an guides, which resulted in a locked up motor. So it has been replaced. Here is the new replacement.
