Default What is this?
I found this part under my truck in the driveway and wondering if anyone can tell me what it is. Since it broke off, I have been hearing a clunky sound every time I turn. I have a 2002 F-150.

Looks like a vibration dampener. From the rust patter, it looks like it was originally mounted on the left side. The bracket rotted out.

Check the right side to see if one like it is still attached.

Vibration damper looks from the picture like it was clamped to exhaust.
