Default Welding it up

So I'm going to replace my cats. Instead of buying a direct fit, I want to just cut mine out and weld new ones in their place. I don't know the internal workings of a cat and was curious whether the heat from the weld could or will damage it. I know its meant to deal with very hot gasses but the heat from a weld is, as you know, much hotter.

Thank you.

I don't know if it will hurt the cat but u have to pull both sides of your battery. Can cause damage to your computer and battery

What are you smokin' man? Welding together an exhaust requires nothing to do with the battery.

I am a welder and when we weld on the heavy equipment they have a DC switch which shuts off power to the computer and we also disconnect the battery cables because it can mess up the computer and other things. Just my 0.2
