There is this annoying squeak/Knocking sound coming from what seams like my front left wheel well. its really loud... i can get it to go away if i make a complete stop. but then maybe 1/4 of a mile later it starts up again. It started doing this yesterday when i was on the highway, when i heard it I pulled over and looked under my truck but found nothing. then for the rest of the day I didn't hear anything. but now its happening more often and its really annoying me does anyone have any idea on what this might be

 

cv shaft, the u-joint in it is bad

 

how positive are you on that ?

 

not compleate as i had not herd it
but it sounds similar to wat happened to one of our trucks and that is wat it was

 

never hurts to pull it off and look it anyways... maybe rotate the tires while you are at it...that what I would do

 

ok the sound is not comming from the wheel well its coming from my drive shaft ... maybe a bad U joint??
