Default weird ac/fan problem

This morning i used my defrost and fans and everything worked fine. Later in the day i turned on my ac and nothing happened. This continued for the entire night and i dnt know what it could be. I noticed that if the truck is turned off with the fan position on it will not turn on the next time i go to use it. However if i turn the truck off with it in the off position it usually tends to work the next time i go to use it. Any ideas on what it could be or how it would cost to fix? Thanks

I'm assuming you're talking about the blower motor (in the cab) ?
If you unplug the motor (under r/side of dash) you can check for power and gnd on that plug. If it's there and blower isn't working-you'll need to replace the blower motor.
