I have 1997 F-15 ext cab XLT 4wd with the 5.4 V8. I love and hate this truck. I bought it 1998 with 25 k miles. From day 1 the brakes have shuddered like warped rotors/drums. I have replaced with new:
both front rotors, pads and calipers
both rear drums, shoes and wheel cylinders
I had drums and rotors turned befor installing to make sure they were true.
Still the shuddering persists.
Is this a common issue?

Was the shudder there right after the rotor/drum resurfacing or did it take a while for it to restart the shudder? Are you feeling the shudder in the steering wheel (front brakes) or in your butt (rear brakes)? Try stopping in a empty parking lot and see what your truck does when you use just the parking brake to stop. Also get it on jackstands and check the front rims/spindles, suspension and driveline.
