Hey guys

I have a quick question on the vacuum hose coming off the top of the front diff and where is connects. I have a 02 f150 4.6 4x4. Currently the hose is connected to the diff but the other end isn't connected and I can't see where it goes. I have the 2 engine codes po171 and po 174 so I'm thinking it's this hose. I just got the truck and I love it. I am posting in the welcome section tonight when I can throw up some pictures. Thanks for the help

 

That hose should not be the cause for your codes. That hose is a breather hose it just ends above the dif.

I found what was causing my codes.....The hose I am talking about goes from

the top of the diff under the motor to the pass side and just rest on the frame.

Thats why I thought it connected to something because it was just laying there.
