Default vacuum leak

I had a smoke test done on my 97 f150. It's a 2 wheel drive 4.6L SOHC Ext cab. I was told there was a vacuum leak in the rear of the truck for a vent for the tank. They said it mounts to the frame. Do you know what this part is called? They said it was $120 for the part and it was a small part. Can't remember the name of it and also would like to know how to set the timing on that engine as well, step by step. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Timing is not mechanically adjustable, it is computer controlled. You can only adjust it by programmer basically.

Are you trying to describe the "emission canister" or are you talking about the intank vent assembly? Is it hard to start hot sometimes?

Here are a couple pics from my Ford service manual. Pick out your part you are needing. I'm thinking the second picture, bottom, or #8 or #9 in the first picture.

New question though. Now I'm trying to figure out which vacuum line, red or green, connects to the fuel pressure regulator. Help on that would be awesome. Been on google but there are mostly 5.4 on there, apparently 4.6 doesn't sit well with google lol.

Red - FPR.

Green - EGR.
