Vacuum leak
I have a couple vacuum leaks. The first one is going in the firewall by the passenger side was cut. I believe this is what is causing ac and heater to be stuck on defrost. The second, I've looked at diagrams and I can't find where the vacuum hose leads to. Does anyone have any ideas? I don't see any other hoses that are broke or cut..
Ok I pulled the battery and that hose is good. Where does the hose on that split lead to? On my truck, it starts at the vacuum reservoir, then there is a sit, one to the firewall on the passenger side and the other is going to the pcv valve.
The hose that I'm holding comes from the vacuum reservoir split and goes to the pcv valve. That doesn't look right to me but maybe it is.

These hose setting on the battery with the splitter, I have no idea where that hose should be plugged in to. I put a new splitter on it, but it was just sitting there. I don't see any other place to connect it.
Take a picture of the mini vac harness with the battery removed and canister attached. So that's a 2wd correct ? What year ? 02, 03 4.6L. Yea, it necessary to know what we are working on here.
BTW, yea, it's definitely screwed up...on a grand scale lol.

Lol oops, I thought I said what it was! It's a 2002 4.6l. I'll pull the battery and take a pic, but I pulled it last night and it looks fine. It just has one hose that leads to the split going to the firewall and then the hose I'm holding.

Disconnect that line from the PCV , in fact delete it for now. I definitely can't see all I need too. From what I can see, after the blue check valve you need a T right after. your black lines are all that connect there. One black line from reservoir (back of the battery) and another black line that runs thru the firewall into the cab to heater/blend door ...al vac controls there in. That's it for that one..
The busted off connector is your bulkhead emission harness connector. These often get brittle and crack up with time like user crazy mentioned. You should have another canister/reservoir on that truck that isn't visible. You should see emission lines , white and red feeding to it thru a thru hole in the inner fender. Like I said I can't see nearly what I need to, to set you up correctly. Yea that would run the EVR, EGR, MAIN vac on plenum and your fuel regulator. I'm not sure how that truck is even running without it.
EDIT: BTW, the 02's are special, they are a one of kind set up for this generation. Ford attempted to change things around with emissions, but it didn't take. They went back to the 01 version for 03. Some things are very different from all other models produced. So yea, pictures are necessary so I can figure out what they did in certain areas.
