Well I posted the link to the other thread I started a few days ago but basically my truck says its over heating but its just the gauge shooting to hot turning the check engine light to go off and putting it in limp mode. I've changed both the coolant sensors on the intake manifold and the thermostat and the upper radiator hose gets hot as it should when the thermostat opens up but the lower hose doesn't get near as hot as the upper other than the hoses or water pump Idk what else it could be

Hey everyone! So I did a little upgrading this weekend my 97 with the 4.2 fell victim to the lower intake manifold going out so she is no longer running but i got a 99 with the 5.4 and 4x4 qnd i absolutely love it! i have been conversing with a few members on here thus far but I am still trying to figure out some possible electric issues with it so if yall wouldnt mind taking a peek at the thread that would be sweet but I wanted to post a pic of it! i used the headlights I had from my 97 and I think they set the black off nice along with the black toolbox. Looking to level it out and go black wheels, tint the windows and all that once i get this coolant issue figured out! Let me know what yall think and if anyone has any info they could share on my other thread please feel free!

My lower cracked in my 02 at 94K miles...I feel ya. I will say it has been the main source of my "dislike" for the 4.2. Personally, I think your 99 looks good with the chrome bumpers and alloy wheels. I think if you were going to go with black wheels, they would look best as aftermarket wheels because painting the OE ones black (I'd take black over chrome any day) would make it seem like your rolling on the spare wheels.

Yeah I see what you're saying there! I've read a lot of your posts about the 4.2 problems ya had zap! It's sucks for sure man. I just gotta get this coolant issue solved so I can start doing the fun stuff such as wheels and all that! Thanks for the compliment on the new truck though!

I think the lights are made my k2motorsports its a seller on eBay bought a few things from them on eBay as well as my hids. Nothing fancy just cheap 35 dollar xentec kit but they get the job done going to try and find some aftermarket lenses for my fog lights and run hids in them too

Someone on ebay had a kit, smoked lenses and smoked fogs in the new halo LED setup. That was when I checked about 4 hours ago.
