Default Unknown part - picture attached

I've got a noise that starts at 40 and peaks at 53. Of course, think it's wheel bearings - change and doesn't fix it. U Joint - change it and doesn't fix it. My mechanic thinks it's coming from here. Is this CV Joint? What is this and how would I replace it?


My mechanic says it's #11 in the parts picture below.

Its either a seal or a bearing. Probably bearing. Remove the CV axle shaft, use puller to remove the seal/bearing, reinstall new seal/bearing, reinstall CV axle shaft.

Yes, it must be bearing. I'm looking at a diagram - lots of bearings here and there. Is there a kit with a rebuild available?

You said he said its part #11. The diagram calls that a dust shield. Yet this other diagram calls part #11 a bearing. I believe its a bearing.
