Has anyone ever replaced the turn signal swith in a 98 F150? I need to replace mine but not sure if I want to have it done or try and do it myself. What is involved in replacing the switch? Does the steering wheel need to come off or can it be accessed from the side of the column?

im not sure about the f150, but in my friends car, you had to have some special spring/nut retainer to get the stering wheel off, and you had to remove it to get to the workings of the switch, but it might be compleatly different on the f150.

I think the special tool was only about 15 bucks though, but he had a hard time finding it.
