My favorite is definitely the Gryphon. The display gives it a slight advantage in my book. I'm OCD about monitoring stuff though.
Best for the money, custom tuning is the way to go. A custom tune will always have an advantage over canned and it usually isn't more than $30 extra. The difference in horse gain between the top custom programmers is really slim. They have figured out the safe level of increase in these motors. So take your pick between the Xcal 3 and Gryphon.
