Default True dual?

So when i bought my 1997 f150 5.4 4x4. It had a true dual side exhaust on it, well I'm redoing the headers and was wondering am I losing low/end torque? Ive heard this Many times and was wondering if I can put a cross pipe to regain that torque?

Yes a cross over will be beneficial. The exit location is not a problem. Hope you are doing longtube headers. If you want more on why a cross over will help read here: https://www.f150forum.com/f11/exhaus...re-myth-78102/
