Default True COLD air intake?

Are there any intakes that actually take in more cold air than the stock intake, not looking for a k&n hot air intake.

I did the "gots mod" to my truck and replaced the stock air filter with a drop in K&N air filter! From what i have read its just as good if not better than any on the market! except for the air force one intake thats roughly 270 bucks! http://www.troyerperformance.com/cgi...atalogno=16408
I could tell a huge difference from the "gots mod" It cost me a total of like 5 bucks in all and about an hour tops of labor (sanding down the edges of the PVC pipe to fit the oval shaped hole in the wheel well) i would recommend this cheap and a stand out performance from stock! but thats just me! there are forums on this but probably better off just googleing it

AF1 is made of metal...would that not heat up in the engine compartment and warm the air as it passes through it ??

any intake tube will heat up over time. Just make sure the tubing is non restrictive and you have a good high flow high filtration filter.

Gotts is the way to go for sure! I only have the 4.2 so no real horsepower increase LOL but much better throttle response and for a grand total of about ten bucks (much better than $270 haha) its definatley a great mod

I'm sold on the GOTTS! Since I have a home improvement project involving 3" PVC drain, I bet I come in under $10! (Famous last words...)

I'll let ya know what it does for my 5.4
