Default truck has a rough idle when first start it

just in the last couple days i have noticed when i start my truck it shutters really hard a couple times and then once its running for a few mins it stops, should i worry?ehat is this?

Sounds like a blown head gasket/cracked head. Does it smoke?

1. Push the gas pedal all the way to the floor.

2. Start the truck while holding the gas pedal all the way to the floor.

3. Bounce the rev limiter for about 15 to 20 min.

4. Problem solved!!!

If you can access datastream from PCM, verify that ECT is reading temp accurately. Check it when engine is cold. ECT temp should be very close to IAT temp. If no - test the sensor resistance and check for air lock near sensor.

IAC just might need cleaning, if idle is OK at warmup, and no codes.
