Default trouble with reverse

ok i posted this same thread but i must have done something wrong because it wont let anyone respond . anyway i have a 97 f150 lariat that was running fine .put it in reverse and heard a clunking sound and now it bucks in reverse almost all the time . all forward gears are shifting fine and on time, and the fluid levels are good. i really cant afford a new tranny right now. any advice would be great thanks.

Always find parking spots that you can do a pull through to park so no one can park in front of you?

The best thing you can do with a transmission to avoid this type of break down is when backing up and clocking back to drive and vice versa is pause wait to come to a full stop and then shift, let it engage, then take your foot off the brake... Most people don't do this, they don't have time in thier hectic lives but they do keep the tranny shops goin...
Sorry its not what you want to hear but use this info to help your tranny after it's rebuilt or replaced...

You can do what i did for a month and be very careful where you park. I bought my truck with no reverse, so i had to do this. A7X has the right idea though
