Default Trim removal

how do i go removing the trim part that is in the box in yellow? it seems like if i rip it off the sticky residue will either rip the paint off or it least mess it up. let me know if anyone else has done it! thanks!

Soak it with goo-gone and heat it up with a blow dryer. And use a plastic scraper so you dont damage your paint.

Yea when i got my truck the previous owner scraped the side light on a trailer and that trime popped off.

But just to worn you that the paint under it might not match the rest because it wont be as faded from the sun.

thats your door saver man....rather have that scuffed up than the actual paint. if someone kicks their car door open while being parked next to you that thing will usually catch it. if anything find a new piece and replace it.
