I can't find the color code for the wheel flares on my 03, I need to touch one of them up.

I believe it is usually under the TP/PS (Tape-Paint/Pin-Stripe) section. Was yours by chance done afterwards? I know mine was painted after the fact. To match mine, I took it to a guy that matched it by eye, and did a really good job.

I forgot to say, whomever had the truck changed the color of the flares to give it the look it has now. It looks good, but is hard to give you which of the lower two colors to tell you to use. The angles are all wrong to try and judge which color they really are. Pictures are so damn deceiving.

You can take you truck to any good automotive paint company and take their sample chip to match your flare.

I just noticed that they painted the front upper bumper cover also to match. Your truck was totally YN when purchased from Ford. The dealership might of made it a "sales leader" and done some stuff for a sale promotion or a package they decided to provide. Our dealers get Alaska packages, which are a heater and LSD. They put a decal that say AP and that's it. Maybe an upgraded set of wheels also.

AK, am I correct that it would have been under TP/PS?

Dealer packages kind of **** me off, lol. We have one dealer here that made a High Boy package with a Super Duty. When I saw that, I was pretty giddy that Ford had brought it back.... and let down when I did the research. I think bringing back the High Boy moniker would be pretty favorable for Ford, but who knows.

I circled it in the picture. YN is silver that year. Notice that there is not another code in line with the YN. That would be the second pair of letters. There is none listed, so it is a one-tone truck.

I agree GT that dealer add on's are a real pain in the butt.

To the OP. Do you have skid plates on your truck? I see it came with 17's stock, and LS rear diff, so I'm questioning if it has the FX4 package, and not the decals.

Yes it has a skid plate in the front, under the transfer case and fuel tank and Rancho shocks but the shocks could have been installed latter, at 122K when I picked it up its hard to say.

I'm sure the flares are factory but I guess the paint on them isn't. It's had some painting done on it over the years so who knows what decals it had on it, trying to match the paint has been a pain where I fixed the rust, one place it's to dark and in another it's to light so it may just get two toned next year.

I bought it to keep miles off our DRW when we are home in the summer, it has geart running gear but needed a lot of TLC.
