Default Transmission? very odd. 4th gear to neutral

I was driving up the Mississippi bridge today (from houston) no problems the whole way, but when i almost reached the top i lost power the the wheels, as if in neutral. Id give it gas and all it did was rev. I coasted off the bridge and turned the truck of thinking it had something to do with the programmer. Started it back up and it would egnage into reverse and also into drive so not the drive shaft. Drive worked for about 30 seconds and then it felt like it was in neutral. First and second gear manually shifting seem to work just fine. If you have any idea what might be goin on and insight is much appreciated.

might be the TCC solenoid or your 3-4 clutch or band is bad... check the fluid level when its hot and running... is it at the right level? does the fluid smell burned? is it dark? is there metal flakes suspended in the fluid?

fluid is fine ... more than likely its the solenoid 3-4 when I get this fixed im gonna change my shift points. Think my bigger tires had been putting to much stress on OD .. OD wanted to engage doin city driving .. doin a lumbo kinda thing, not fully engaging

in the city i NEVER drive with OD on its always off till i hit the highway i've never had any tranny problems with my 35s. if you can scan it and see if it has any codes if i were to guess without actually diagnosing it i'd have to say its prob. tcc (torque converter clutch) solenoid... at work everytime i do a tcc solenoid i always replace the valve body... not necessary but cleaning the valve body is necessary
