Default Transmission swapping

My transmission is starting to give out it's leaking fluid everywhere and it started on the highway a few days ago, I was going 95-98 and I had it on cruise, I went up a small hill and it started to accelerate and it then it started to pull and jerk roughly before reaching the set speed. I want to go with an Allison transmission, mainly because they are supposed to be the best. Has anybody here done this or would go about doing this? This is my first f150, it's an 03 5.4l triton, I bought it about 3 months ago. It had very bad upkeep.

Id stick with a stock one. They are meant for these trucks and are pretty decent if maintained well.

This ^^^^

Also, I'm not sure if it would be possible to get an Allison to work with one of these motors. I think there's a large incompatibility with a few different factors and things

Damn. That's not what I wanted to hear. I mean I'm willing to get adapters, will not be an issue for the most part. But what can I look for as far as pricing on a brand new one as apposed to the allison conversion.
