Default Transmission / electrical

I have a 1997 F150 with the 4.2 automatic transmission blew my motor and got a 4.2 engine and automatic transmission out of a 99 F150 that had about 90,000 miles on it, changed over fuel rail, lower and upper intake so I could use my wiring off my original motor. Also had to use my original wires for the new transmission, all the plugs had the same amount of pins so I just plugged my wires into the new transmission. I'm getting a P0750 code which is shifting solenoid A and the OD like just blinks and doesn't work. The transmission shifts but ever gear the motor reeves high before shifting (what is that called i can't remember) but I am about 1/2 inch over the max line on the transmission fluid (I will suck out the extra just haven't done it yet) I used the proper Mercon 5 and changed filter. What do I need to do about the P0750 code and is that making my OD blink and not work or is that a separate problem?

Did you change the PCM to the new truck from the AT one? If not, it is not programmed for the AT shifting. Change the PCM. If you did this already, and it is still doing this, then it will need a reflash of the computer.
