Default Transmission?

Ok so after looking through 111 threads, I am just going to start a pose I use the app so I can't search, I was on my way to my cabin and pulling a polaris ranger up a mountain and going down the other side it stars to make a grinding sound. I stoped and looked but I couldn't tell where it was coming from, thought maybe just something in the brakes, so I go on and it stops, it starts it again. When I got to my cabin so I got it to the level an checked the engine oil and transmission oil, both was low, engine oil
About a quart, transmission about a half a quart, so I drove the ranger home, got that and took it back and fielded it up, it didn't help anything, now when I put it in gear it grinds and revs and all at once jerks into gear. Shifts from park to n to r to d easy but it grids and jerks. The O/D button is blinking, is my transmission bad? Hopefully not. All I got is 700$ saved up

Start saving some$. Before you get too worried though check your shifter linkage, it may have loosened up and you maybe grinding between selections.

Make sure you have the funds for a rebuild or back up transportation when you have the fluid and filter changed!

Not really a bad bearing more than likely if you get it before it gets really bad it would not be that bad

So, It will go, but it acts like its all bound up, but it grows like the brakes are wore out but its not the brakes, my dads friend told me to take the driveshaft off and see what it dose, I don't act like its all bound up after removing the driveshaft, ( put it in 4x4 and drove it) so he said its probably the rear end. So I put the drive shaft back in just or ****s and giggles cause I had all night to work on it, but it is not acting like its bound up as bad now. It will stop grinding/ growing and just kinda rev, then start grinding and go fast, any ideas? It just sounds o me likethe brakes are wore out but they arnt.. Any ideas.. Anyone??
