This weekend I am getting ready to remove the transmission to change a broken flex plate and install a new torque converter. My the transfer case has been seeping fluid for some time and I want to fix that. Can anyone tell me anything to watch out for, are there parts under tension or that will easily come out of place when separating the halves? My plan is to separate them, clean the mating surfaces, put new RTV on and close it back up. Is it that simple? Am I missing something?
