I have an '03 with 58k miles should I change trans fluid? I don't tow just use for work and no heavy work. Should I go to dealer or local mechanic?

30k is recommended I believe. And local mechanic unless you want to pay $130ish dollars for it.

Pull your dipstick and wipe with clean white rag. If it is still bright red and doesnt smell burnt you can leave it alone.

I would change it. Don't wait until it's dirty and burnt, that's too late

Correct, - no need to mess with if your running good stuff to begin with. Shoot, I've been running the same Amsoil since 185,000 miles. 332,000 on her now and the fluid looks like new. I believe this is the only vehicle I haven't put a trans in lol. But yea, Amsoil went in it when I began having trans problems, - straightened it right up.
