Default Trainee and Differential Fill Level

Just a Newbie Quick Question:

I have read the manual and searched, but still want to make sure...

After I replace Merc V in the trainee, and Differential Oil, I want to make sure I am putting in exactly the right amount.

As I understand it, I just fill till the "Fill Hole" has no more oil coming out. In other words, dead level with the Fill hole, correct?

Sorry for this basic question. I think I put too much in the Trainee, and it is shifting a tiny bit hard going into first...

Jack

Also, it's "tranny," not trainee. Freudian slip.
