Default Trailer Mirrors or Mirror extension question

I have a '97 F-150 XLT and just installed a monster cap on it (contractor type cap). In need of mirrors that will come out further to help eliminate blind spots. The passenger side mirror is cracked already so I would be interested in fully replacing them as opposed to just installing bolt on extensions. Looking for the most cost effective route to do so. Can you bolt on the larger mirrors from say an F-250 or F-350? I prefer not to do any major fabrication, looking for more of a bolt on type installation. Any help or vendors/websites you could point me to is much appreciated, thanks!

Look at the thread about **** mirrors for $20. I have an scab longbed with a cap and love how much I can see with those mirrors and you can't beat that price.

The **** mirrors give you a huge increased view but dont have the second blind spot mirror. I have a set of the tow mirrors available on eBay. They have the blind spot mirror and are a huge help when I have my campershell on.

Either mirror would be a justifiable investment but i would recommend the ebay tows because of the second angle mirror.

As far as using a super duty mirror it can be done but takes a lot of modding and will probably cost more than an aftermarket option.

That sounds perfect! Any chance you can link me to that thread? The Search function pulled up a pretty long list for "**** mirrors". Thanks!

I would be willing to mount a small "blindspot" mirror onto a ****. Looked on eBay for tow mirrors and they're all pretty expensive. This is for my work truck, 120K + miles, not looking to dump too much money into it. Under $100 preferably. Send me a link for the eBay mirrors if they're in my price range. Thanks!
