A it bad to crank torsion bars up all the way, I need to do this to level my truck back out

I have done it several times. You take away most of the downward travel so the ride suffers some. You increase the angle on the CV's that may cause pre-mature replacement. I never had any problems when I did it. I cranked them almost all the way up to level mine out as well.

I believe as long as you stay at or below 24.25" from the center of your hub to the bottom of your fender you will be fine.

thats kind of hard to tell when you have a lift on it

Sorry, completely forgot who I was talking to lol. My best guess would be to add the amount of lift you have to the 24.25". For example mine would be 29.25". I don't know if it works that way, but who knows.

Found a pic of my old '99 with them cranked most of the way. I believe I ran the 285/70/17 size tire too.
