Whats also relevant here is the amount of torque multiplication and is that factored in that formula. My guess is factory numbers are at the crank so as not to confuse everybody with different axle ratios and tire sizes.

Nonetheless, I thought the 5.4 was rated at 300 lb ft so its a win win for me.

Actually, for the time is was.
More torque (+25) at a lower RPM than the Chevy/GMC 5.3.
15 more torque and HP than the Dodge 5.9, also at a lower RPM.

I was thinking a little above 400 lb-ft for such a big truck with a big engine.

the new ones don't have that much.. Let alone 13+ year old trucks. The only one that had 400+ lb ft is a lightning or supercharged Harley Davidson one.

I just looked up 2016 specs and holy crap, I hate my truck now.. The Ecoboost 3.5 makes 365hp@5000rpm and 400tq@2500rpm. That's better than the Yote with 385hp@5750rpm & 387tq@3850rpms.

Screw the Coyote swaps, bring on the Ecoboost swap.

My father in law has a 2012 3.5 EB and for some reason it seemed really sluggish. IDK if I want one yet. Maybe after a muffler upgrade.

Edit- Thats with me driving it without him there. Seems relevant lol.
