i have a 97 4.2 2wd that i would like to lift a little higher without getting a lift kit if i dont have to. i just want it to look like a 4wd. is this possible

no 2wd's dont have torsion keys. you need a coil spacer lift and it doesnt look like a 4wd. daystar makes it and i beleive they are fairly cheap.
