I used to speed all the time, but after driving a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 at 170 at a track day I have decide that there's just no point trying to speed as everything feels slow now... Plus I've been lucky enough to keep my licence so far, so now I never speed. It helps that my f150 is slow as a week in jail, but I've been getting over 17mpg recently driving like the old man that I am, so I'm happy

I have gone 85. Usually only 5 over the limit on a highway. I got pulled going 15 over in town a year ago and the cop said since I seemed like a respectful kid he dropped it.

So, I'm not willing to risk the speed, and paying for my own insurance.

I agree to this also. I had a wild streak one day and decided to see what my truck would do on the deserted highway I was on. I don't race people on the highway either, normally I'm the one getting passed. Come to think of it, why did I even post what I've done in this thread, normally I don't mention any of the stupid stuff I've done so nobody gets ideas. I've got a list in my mind of what I like to call, "My Stupid Streak", and that's on it.

Like A7X stated, our trucks aren't designed to handle high speeds safely. Something that most young folk don't know (along with many others) is that most tires, especially our truck tires, aren't rated for any higher than 100mph, if that.

I know I can't keep everyone from maxxing out their vehicle, but don't take a freaking pic of the speedo pegged if you do! It's just plain stupid.

and as a cop once said to me.... if you want to kill yourself you'll find a reason... but if I ever catch you with a carload of people whose lives YOU are putting in danger, you're done.

80 MPH.
But then again I am not an idiot, I realize a truck is not a car. and the F150 handles like an old fat man in ski boots wearing thick glasses.
If I want to race, I drive my Porsche.
We have a fool lose control while speeding and wrap his pickup around a tree about every three months in my area.
