Default Tire wheel combo

Have a 97 f-150 ext cab with 303450 miles on it all I use it anymore is for the woods and to plow snow. It is a lariat and has the 265/70/17s on it now they are street tread but now that it's just a plow truck I want some cheap aggressive tires on it. I only put about 500-800 miles on it a year if I'm lucky. It has the 17" wheels on it and tires for them aren't cheap and sizes are hard to find, so should I put a set of 15" wheels on and get cheaper tires or find some 265/70/17 tires. Does anyone know of a (cheap) good snow, mud tire it can be off brand.

Look at treadwright tires, they have mud tires for cheap and there's no need to change wheels.

That's what I thought about the 15" wheels but someone said I could. I checked out the guard dogs and I can get them shipped to my door for 580 that is a good price. Thanks fellas!!

I can tell you for sure you can't fit 15 inch rims on our trucks without modification to your brakes
